Kids Enjoy Our Realistic Mining Operation
We now feature a wonderful attraction activity at the campgrounds. Flat Rock Mining Company offers the opportunity to mine for 40 different specimens of gemstones and minerals from around the world, as well as 30 different Fossils.
- Take a look at some of the wonderful fossils, gems and minerals that are waiting to be mined by you or the kids
- All gems are the real thing, many are of high quality and suitable for cutting, polishing and mounting.
- Besides being lots of fun, this attraction is highly educational!
- In a short time, kids can easily gain the knowledge to identify and catalog different minerals, gems, fossils and shells.
- It's a colorful and fascinating stream of possibilities.
- Children may select from a variety of stones as they "work the sluice."

- Take Advantage of our STIMULUS PACKAGE! Purchase "Boo Boo’s Ultimate Pass" when making a reservation or at check-in. The Plan for 1-day, $7; 2-day, $11 or 3 to 5 days for $15 per person. The pass provides 1 game of Water Wars, 1 bag of mining rough and unlimited mini-golf per day. After check-in the package may be purchased for $9 per day per person. Reservation staff will be happy to answer questions about the program.
